Comparison Spec: Long term report Honda city vs Maruti ciaz vs Hyundai verna
Engines : The new 2018 Maruti ciaz is now powered with a 1.5 litre petrol and 1.3 diesel with SMART HYBRID . Honda city is also paired with 1.5 litre both petrol and diesel engines. Well about verna is being presented with two options of 1.4 & 1.6 petrol and diesel engines.
In terms of transmission ciaz is available with 5- speed MT/4- speed AT. City is available with 5-Speed MT/CVT with peddle shifters in petrol and with 6 speed MT in diesel. Verna only with 1.6 litre options is Available with 6 speed MT/AT
Ciaz due to SHVS technology is claimed to be most fuel efficient 20 to 21 kmpl (claimed fuel economy) for petrol and 28 kmpl for diesel .
On the other hand Honda claims about 17-18 kmpl for petrol and 25kmpl for its diesel engine.
Well verna claims 17-19 kmpl for petrol and about 22 kmpl for diesel.
Dimensions: In terms of length ciaz is about 4490mm and its wheelbase is 2650mm . City and verna both are 4440mm in length and also have similar 2600mm wheelbase
Safety: Three of them gets dual front airbags with ABS with EBD as standard. But Ciaz unfortunately gets only 2 airbags across the top spec trim alpha while city and verna across their top spec manages to get 6 airbags . Also three of them gets isofix mounted seats
Features: All the sedans get features such asautomatic climate control, height-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, rear ac vents, rear parking camera , 7 inch infotainment system. While verna is tur only one to get ventilated seats . On the other hand the electric sunroof is available in city and verna and misses out in ciaz
Pricing : 2018 Ciaz is priced between 8.19L-10.97L .City is between 8.77L-13.88L and verna is between 8.01L-13.99L .
Which car you should buy ?
Ciaz again continues to be most affordable sedan with many features in India while Honda city is also aggressively priced with its design and overall package Verna is been also a very nice choice in terms of its luxury and features
